Cast a wonderful and personal Picture Wall Calendar to your Android Homescreen by using 1st Picture Calendar or, if you are using Android 4.2, add it to your Lock Screen. Chose from the most beautiful Moments from your Gallery or take live Shots with your Smartphone Camera into your Picture Calendar, Month by Month.

Did you create Pictures with other Apps? Not to worry, just use the Android Share Function (also called "send to"), select 1st Picture Calendar as the Destination App and select a Month to add the Picture to, voilá: It's in the Calendar.

In Addition to setting Pictures for Months the Calendar also allows you to specify a Caption for that Picture, which will then be shown above or left of the Picture, depending on the actual Layout.

The Calendar usually shows the current Month and marks the current Day in Blue. By using the Arrows you'll be able to browse through all Months. It is possible to have more than one Widget on your homescreen and select different months for all of them.

The Widget itself is free of Ads.

F: Why won't the Widget run on my Smartphone / Tablet?
A: This may have several causes. Some Homescreen Launcher do not work well with sizable Widgets so that the Picture Calendar Widget is unable to calculate Layout and Text Sizes after a Resize. Others do not use the default Icon Matrix (4x4 on Phones, 6x6 on Tablets), which puts up some difficulties for showing the Widget Content accordingly. Known Launchers not able to work with sizable Widgets are the Atom Launcher and the Sony Xperia Z-Launcher. I therefore excluded all Sony Devices from the compatibility list of my App. If you happen to use the Sony Launcher with Android 4.1+ on a device not from Sony, you might encounter serious issues. The Sony Launcher is NOT ready for Android 4.1+.

F: Why can't I take pictures with my device camera?
A: Only devices with a Camera at their back are supported by the Picture Calendar because the default Camera App does not allow Pictures to be taken with the Video-Chat camera at the front of your device. You may as a workaround take the Picture by using your Camera App and then send it via the Share Function to the Picture calendar.

F: Dynamic Widget Sizes are possible since Android 4.0, why do I get fixed Widget Sizes only?
A: Only from Android 4.1 on a Widget is informed by the Launcher about the new Size after a Resizing, so only then the Picture Calendar is able to chose a Layout accordingly and to resize it's Texts. On Android 4.0 and lower it is only able to work with the initial Size, with no resize possible. If you do use a Launcher capable of resizing otherwise fixed Widgets, Picture Calendar will not work properly.

F: I did leave the Calendar's Configuration App through the proper Exit Dialog, thus the App is still active.
A: This ought to be an old Instance of the Configuration App. Please close it by using the "Cancel" Option to prevent it overwriting your already saved Configuration. Seldom happens if you sent a Picture to another App and return from there with a Picture Share. I'm still working on the Issue.

*** After upgrading your Device to Android 4.1/4.2 JellyBean please remove and recreate all Picture Calendar Widgets, otherwise you might encounter issues like Widget not loading completely or the Update Service failing. ***
